Here we are again.

So it's back to the football being suspended for the time being, a four week lay off this time around but will it be just the four before we can return to watching our local sides?
A fair few people don't understand the appeal of football at step 7 level. The commitment shown by supporters to their respective sides is second to none, following the clubs to the back end of nowhere to stand in an old bus stop and even without shelter on some occasions. Cold January afternoons with barely anyone in attendance but you'll still see the same faces out their lending their support.

This solely isn't about supporters, it's about volunteers giving up their free time to assist on matchdays, groundsmen giving up their time to ensure clubs have the best possible playing surfaces available, again more than likely without receiving payment. You'll not find a more committed bunch of people ensuring the clubs can keep playing on a weekly basis. Even the players working their day jobs and turning out on a Tuesday night and again giving up family time on a weekend to play again. We can't forget sponsors of clubs, these are the ones who a play a major role in keeping clubs afloat, without them and of course supporters, this level would be nothing.
Many of us will find ourselves at loose ends in the coming weeks without our Saturday afternoon football but all being well, we'll back out there supporting our clubs and we've got the winter to look forward to, the most unpredictable time of the year at this level. Frozen pitches, waterlogged pitches, cold, biting winds but no matter what we always find ourselves out there, whatever the weather.

In the meantime keep yourselves safe and take care and before you know it, we'll be back watching our clubs and the games will be coming thick and fast.
