Dinnington Town v Sutton Rovers

Tuesday 16th  November sees the visit of Sutton Rovers to the iCompare Phoenix Park for a fixture that was originally planned as an away game for the weekend just gone.

Dinno come in to this game on the back of a mixed bag of results, a couple of defeats in the last few weeks and the all important wins along the way, this is a league where anybody can beat anybody on the day. Along the way the 100% record was ended by Kiveton with a 1- 2 reversal, a game where many a missed opportunity ultimately cost Dinno the game, however a spirited performance prior to the Kiveton game saw the boys battle for a 2-1 victory against Clay Cross after going goal behind shortly after half time but a moment of brilliance from Brandon Ashmore in the dying minutes got Dinno over the line.

Good results have come also with convincing wins over Askern Miners and Staveley Reserves and a good old 1 - 0 over a dogged, young Sheffield FC Reserve sides. A week ago at Thorne the boys were well worth a point against the leagues high fliers but for a somewhat mind boggling penalty award to the hosts that day, again Dinno had the chances to win that game but the finishing wasn't up to scratch, not really testing the Thorne keeper.

Aaron Moxam made his home debut last week against Staveley and made an impact with a hat trick in a 4-0 home win for the black and yellows.

This evenings will once again be a tough test for the boys and a strong start is needed to and chances will need to be taken to ensure a positive outcome from this fixture. Sutton have only registered two wins all season and by no means will this be a certain three points for Dinno, the boys have to be at it right from the off to the final whistle.

Thank you to the supporters that have followed the team throughout the season so far and it's appreciated by the players at full time as shown by them making their way over to thank you for the support.

Hopefully see you again this evening to push the team on to a vitally important three points.

Up the Dinno!!
