Dinno win it at the death.

In football it's all about results, it's all about winning games and digging deep and grinding out results. That is exactly what Dinno had to especially coming off the back of two away defeats.

The game wasn't pretty, quite scrappy at times in the opening half with Clay Cross probably edging the first half with the better chances. Jay Atkin saving the hosts going behind after a mistake gifted the Clay Cross forward an opportunity, Branch beaten but Atkin was on hand to clear away the danger and earlier a ball over top was lifted over the Dinno goal.

All in all the first half wasn't a great half of football.

The second half the game came to life with all three goals coming after Clay Cross took the lead minutes after the restart, it looked like the ball was there to be won but the Clay Cross forward beat Branch to the ball and slid it home for the lead. Soon after Dinno were lucky not to be two down after being caught on the break only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Three changes were made by the home side and the urgency increased as Dinno went on the hunt for an equaliser. It almost came after the ball was bouncing around the Clay Cross area and an effort struck the post but minutes later the goal did come, it was partially cleared and Andrej Gordon-Hides was on hand with a good finish from outside the area and in the last few minutes Brandon Ashmore picked the ball up on the Dinno left and run at the Clay Cross defence beating 4 or 5 defenders before unleashing a quality finish in to the top left corner of the goal from six yards out. A moment of brilliance from the Dinno forward to secure the points for the home side.
