Dinnington Town 2 - 0 Crowle Colts

Another 3 points.

Where to begin after this afternoon, 2 penalties, 1 scored, 1 missed and a red card for good measure.

Dinno came in to the game unbeaten since the away defeat to Crowle a few weeks ago with the visitors once again stopping Dinnington from playing football, they seemed to have got a knack of doing this.

The first half was a frustrating affair with nothing getting going for the home side, loose balls and so on. Crowle could have taken the lead but for an outstanding stop by Josh Branch low to his right knocking the ball on to the upright and gathering. At 0-0 it was looking like one of those days for the Yellows.

Finally Dinno got the breakthrough, the ball in the Crowle area was put away by Sam Foulds to give the home side the lead. The goal was a welcome relief more than anything as it looked to calm the players down. Dinno took the advantage in to half time.
The second half started with more intent from the home side, things started to come together a little more. Dinno were rewarded for their hardwork and awarded a penalty midway through the half which Sam Foulds put away and not long after a second spot kick came along, this time Foulds hit the bar. Dinno were still looking for more, hitting the post a further two times, Foulds once again in the thick of it and was unfortunate not to have his hat trick after heading against the upright. The game was drawing to a close when Crowle were reduced to ten after a horrendous challenge.

After the final whistle the players made their way over to thank the supporters for today.

Another three points for Dinno on what set out as a frustrating afternoon.
